What is a relatively decent and durable sewing machine for a beginner seamstress/designer?

Question by anestesia_shock_protocal: What is a relatively decent and durable sewing machine for a beginner seamstress/designer?
I am a little out of practice, but intent to start designing and making clothes to make some money on the side and devote some time to art. I’m looking to produce various articles, from shirts, arm warmers, under garments, to drapes and couch covers. My mom did a lot of seamstress work when I was a kid, from wedding dressed, to body pillows, dolls, etc. She used an older singer, an antique by now, and it worked great for all of these things.
What I’m looking for is something more modern that can handle a similar work load and . . . → Read More: What is a relatively decent and durable sewing machine for a beginner seamstress/designer?

I’m not civilized? That stupid Para girl isn’t civilized. What do you call someone who just tackles you and slaps your hand? A person with no manners. Yet she even has the audacity to tell me her name. She’s lucky my powers aren’t stable yet I would have burned her and laughed in her face. Then I would throw her body in blood, and make . . . → Read More: What do you think of my book so far ?

My eyelids slowly opened in vain and distress, my body was wet and itchy. I slowly went up with the support of my hands; I slid back down the creek. My body was clumsy and tired the smell of blood conquered my nose. “Ahhhhhhhhhhh”. I screamed into the air. Hi Miss Alice
With your glass eyes
What kind of dream
Can you see?
Are you fascinated with?

Still
My heart tears
And drifts
Stuck in the patched crevices
Are memories

Hi Miss Alice
With that fruitful lips
To whom does love
Is cast away?
Is lamented?

Already
I spin my words
Feverish tongue
Has turned cold
the song to love
Can’t be sung either

Still you do not answer

Chapter 1
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… My ears could feel the notes of the cello getting bigger as the pass through my ear drums, almost like loud speakers. I pull my hands from the hand cuffs, and relax my other. I close my eyes and pull again, as hard as I can. The handcuffs break and fall to the ground. I blink 3 times, . . . → Read More: What do you think of my book so far ?

I’m still not having any luck finding any of the life size and lifelike figures?

Question by Hawk: I’m still not having any luck finding any of the life size and lifelike figures?
I’ve seen them in several places, mostly truckstops along the freeway and novelty shops. I imagine they are very much antiques by now. One place I saw them was a restaurant and the owners had placed these lifelike dolls in different seats around the restaurant. I can’t remember if the heads were carved out of wood or not but the bodies seem to be stuffed and they were dressed in different costumes, such as native americans, cowboys and saloon girls. They were incredibly lifelike and it was almost eerie being surrounded by them, almost twilight zone feeling. . . . → Read More: I’m still not having any luck finding any of the life size and lifelike figures?

Malls In Boston?

Question by queenofcouture456: Malls In Boston?
Hey,

My awesome cousins A and L, and me are going up to Boston to visit our Aunt. She’s taking us to garage sales to look for dresses, dresses we’re wearing to a wedding. She works downtown, but can take us into town.
If we get the chance to break away from the world of antique umbrella holders, and moldy polly pocket dolls, perhaps you could tell me some NICE malls that we could shop @.

I REALLY appreciate the help.
Thanks!!!!!
